Tottenham Hotspur have got the better of Crystal Palace in the London derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Crystal Palace took the lead against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon, but the home team launched a late comeback and scored three goals to win the Premier League match 3-1.
Praise for Tottenham Hotspur forward Brennan Johnson vs Crystal Palace
Brennan Johnson was the star of the show for Spurs. The £47.5 million (Sky Sports) Wales international forward provided two assists.
Johnson did not start the match. Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou, who rates him highly, brought the 22-year-old on as a substitute in the 63rd minute.
As you can see below, former Spurs star Graham Roberts has noted that Johnson changed the game for Spurs.
The pundit has also praised Tottenham central defender Micky van de Ven for his performance in the London derby against Palace.
Tottenham are now fifth in the Premier League table with 50 points from 26 matches. Spurs are very much in the running for a top-four finish this season.
My View: Brennan Johnson is an important player for Tottenham Hotspur
In my opinion, Brennan Johnson is an important player for Tottenham Hotspur. While the former Nottingham Forest forward may not be at the stage to start week in and week out for the London club, he is a very good player to bring on as a substitute.
Johnson has made 13 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this season. He has scored three goals and given six assists in those games.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the UEFA Champions League places in the Premier League table this season.
In my view, Johnson will play his role for the North London club in the final weeks and months of the campaign.
