Juventus defender Gleison Bremer has opened up on his future in Turin after being offered to Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, amongst others.
Since moving to Juventus from Torino back in 2021, Brazilian defender Gleison Bremer has been one of the club’s best performing defenders in Serie A.
His performances last season for Juventus continued to impress the club’s hierarchy and the Brazilian was rewarded with a new deal which would keep him at the Italian giants until 2028.
However, despite this, HITC reported back in March that a host of Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Liverpool have all been offered the chance to sign the Brazilian.
Bremer opens up on Juventus future
Sources have told HITC that Bremer is keen on a new start in England, despite just being at Juventus for just two seasons.
Speaking to Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Brazilian was asked about his future at the Bianconeri but he was coy about his plans.
“I am very focused on the Copa America and I leave the matter to my agents,” Bremer said. “Of course, I’ve read a few things and I’m happy to know that clubs with so much history follow me, but the truth is that I’ll talk about it with my agents after the America’s Cup.
“I’ve matured a lot. When I signed for Juventus I already had a good knowledge of the league and also of the country. Little by little we are helping Juventus to become protagonists again and to fight for great goals.
“I sincerely hope that next season will be a great joy for all of us, players and fans.”
Bremer was previously named Serie A’s defender of the year back in 2022 and he has been vital for the club.
Multiple Premier League clubs in need of a centre-back
United and Liverpool may be the sides who need a new defensive addition the most this summer with Raphael Varane departing Old Trafford and Joel Matip’s contract at Liverpool expiring.
Newcastle are also in need of a defender this summer with the club’s first choice centre-back, Sven Botman, suffering a serious ACL injury last year.
Bremer could be a superb option for any of the sides interested in his services this summer. Whilst HITC have reported that the Brazilian has been offered to clubs in England, it is unclear if the defender’s willingness to move to the Premier League is matched by these clubs.
