Report: Player makes complete U-turn over potential Leeds United transfer

Nadiem Amiri has reportedly changed his mind about a potential move to Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

According to Kicker, Nadiem Amiri has decided not to move to Leeds United now.

Nadiem Amiri stance on potential Leeds United transfer

The German publication has claimed that the Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder has initially decided to move to Leeds.

The 26-year-old had reportedly told Leeds that he would switch to Elland Road this summer, but he has now decided that he does not want to join the West Yorkshire club.

Leeds are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

Bild has claimed that Leeds are/were willing to match Bayer’s demands for Amiri, but it now appears that a potential deal is off.

We believe that Nadiem Amiri’s decision not to join Leeds United will come as a blow for the West Yorkshire club.

After all, Leeds spent time, energy and resources into getting a deal done, and now the player has made a compete U-turn now.

This means that Daniel Farke’s side will have to go back into the transfer market and try to sign another player in the mould of Amiri.

The summer transfer window closes in a matter of days, so there is not much time left for Leeds to bring in a new attacking midfielder.

Amiri has been on the books of Bayer Leverkusen since 2019.

The Germany international attacking midfielder made nine starts and 16 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Bayer last season.

The 26-year-old scored four goals and gave one assist in those games.

Report: Forward does not want to join Chelsea now

Bradley Barcola reportedly does not want to join Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.

According to 90min, Chelsea are interested in signing Bradley Barcola from Lyon in the summer transfer window.

Bradley Barcola stance on potential Chelsea transfer

Chelsea want to sign Barcola after failing to bring in Michael Olise from London and Premier League rivals Crystal Palace this summer.

However, the 20-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, does not want to move to the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.

90min are reporting that the France Under-21 international wants to make the move to Paris Saint-Germain instead.

Ligue 1 champions PSG are reportedly interested in Barcola and are in talks with Lyon over a potential deal for the 20-year-old.

While Chelsea will be disappointed with Bradley Barcola’s stance, we do not think that the Blues actually need the forward right now.

Yes, Barcola has a lot of potential, and PSG’s interest in him shows just how highly he is rated in the footballing community.

But, Chelsea have enough forwards/wide players/wingers.

What the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners need right now is a striker.

Nicolas Jackson is doing well for Chelsea at the moment, and while head coach Mauricio Pochettino also has Armando Broja at his disposal, signing an experienced striker in the final days of the summer transfer window would not be a bad idea.

Barcola is not a ‘striker’, and given that he is only 20, he could take a few more years to get to his best.

Chelsea have enough young players who are not the finished article.

They do not need yet another one.

Barcola made 15 starts and 11 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Lyon last season.

The young forward scored five goals and gave eight assists in those games.

‘Amazing’: Kevin De Bruyne seriously impressed by 24-year-old Arsenal player

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has raved about Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard.

Kevin De Bruyne, who is a key player at Manchester City, has said on Sky Sports that Martin Odegaard was “amazing” for Arsenal last season.

The Belgium international, though, believes that Manchester United attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes is better than Arsenal playmaker Odegaard.

Kevin De Bruyne praise for Arsenal star Martin Odegaard

De Bruyne has noted that Odegaard is 24 and is younger than Fernandes, who is 28 now.

The City star said, as transcribed by TBR: “He’s been doing it a long time.

“I feel Odegaard was amazing last year, but obviously he’s younger so there’s a difference.”

In our view, Martin Odegaard is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League and is a big player for Arsenal.

The 24-year-old did not always have the best of times at Real Madrid, but under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, he is flourishing.

As De Bruyne notes, Odegaard was brilliant last season.

The Norway international attacking midfielder was one of the best players for Arsenal, as the North London club almost won the Premier League title last season.

Odegaard has made 89 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The playmaker has scored 24 goals and given 13 assists in those games.

The Arsenal no. 8 scored 15 goals and gave seven assists in 37 Premier League appearances last season.

If Arsenal are to win the Premier League title this season, then Odegaard will have to be on top of his game throughout the campaign.

Woman's body left almost dysfunctional after she got swept under the boat in scary accident

A boat accident that occurred on High Rock Lake in North Carolina on Thursday has left the passengers with serious injuries, and in the wake of the incident, another unverified occurrence – Kenzie Hunt Accident – allegedly involving two girls has surfaced online.

The alleged boat accident in Utah that has left one of the girls with life-threatening injuries was originally reported by the local news website SNBC13, but no other details from law enforcement or statements from either of the families have been released to confirm it to be true.

Family fishes from a pontoon boat on a lake

Two seriously injured in the boating accident on High Rock Lake

Two men on a bass boat and a pontoon boat were left with serious injuries in an accident that occurred on August 24 on High Rock Lake, authorities told Qeencity News. No death has been reported.

Many are said to have been hurt in the incident that occurred at around 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, when a pontoon boat carrying seven people was leaving Tamarac Marina while another bass boat carrying two men was headed in its direction before colliding at a “slight front angle.”

Four out of seven people on the pontoon boat were reportedly injured, of which one of them, who was operating the vehicle, endured critical injuries and had to be transported to the Baptist Medical Center.

The rest of the injured members were shifted to Novant Health in Salisbury. An investigation into the case is underway and both boats that collided have been removed from the waters and taken to “secure facilities”.

‘Kenzie Hunt Accident’ story surfaces

The ‘Kenzie Hunt Accident’ story dates back to August 15 and it allegedly occurred when two friends – McKenzey and Sydney Hunt were boating in Utah.

The article from SNBC13 narrates the incident that caused serious injuries. The gory detail has received a lot of attention, but we will refrain from discussing it further as some readers may find it disturbing.

The story goes – The two friends were tubing when one of them came under the boat while making a turn. She suffered serious injuries to the extent that her body was almost dysfunctional.

HITC can’t independently confirm that the above news is accurate.

Report: Tottenham now told they could sign £200,000-a-week player after Celtic exit

Ange Postecoglou worked with Jota at Celtic, and it seems that he could potentially work with the winger at Tottenham Hotspur as well.

According to 90min, Tottenham Hotspur are considering signing Jota, a player Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou worked with at Celtic.

The report has claimed that Jota is available on a loan deal just weeks after joining Al Ittihad from Celtic.

And Tottenham “have been alerted to the availability” of the winger, according to the report.

Jota is a very versatile winger who played under Spurs boss Postecoglou at Celtic.

According to The Scottish Sun, Al Ittihad paid Celtic £25 million in transfer fees for Jota and are paying the 24-year-old Portuguese winger £200,000 per week as salary.

Tottenham Hotspur should consider former Celtic winger Jota on loan deal

In our view, if Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign a new winger in the summer transfer window, then a loan deal for former Celtic star Jota would not be a bad idea.

First of all, Tottenham would not have to commit to a long-term deal for the winger.

So, there would not be a risk in the long term in terms of it not working out financially.

Secondly, Tottenham could be able to do a deal with Al Ittihad where the Saudi Arabian club would pay most, if not all, of the winger’s wages.

Of course, Spurs could have to pay part of the salary for Jota, but Al Ittihad are a wealthy club.

They clearly have the funds to pay Jota £200,000 per week.

After all, Al Ittihad would not have signed Jota had they not been certain of paying his massive salary.

If Al Ittihad really wanted to offload Jota on loan for this season, then they could be prepared to pay most of his salary to make it easier for an exit.

Moreover, Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou knows Jota inside out from their time at Celtic.

That could help Jota succeed at Tottenham and in the Premier League.

‘Doesn’t want to’ be here: President confirms reported Aston Villa target wants to leave

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has confirmed that Joao Felix wants to seal a late transfer away from the La Liga team amid interest from Aston Villa and Al-Hilal.

The 23-year-old has been ‘clear’ with Cerezo that he no longer sees his future being at the Colchoneros. Felix returned to the Metropolitano Stadium this summer after joining Chelsea on loan in January. But he has only lurked on their fringes whilst having an uncertain future.

Diego Simeone is yet to field Felix for a single second through Atletico Madrid’s opening two games of the season. He even left the 31-cap Portugal international out of their squad away to Real Betis. Atleti drew 0-0 after starting their La Liga season with a 3-1 win over Granada.

Aston Villa and Al-Hilal are interested in Joao Felix’s transfer

Felix faces a potentially frustrating end to the transfer window, though, as he remains under contract until 2027. The forward agreed to join on an eight-year deal from SL Benfica in July 2019. He also cost the Colchoneros £113m but has only scored 34 goals in 131 appearances.

Chelsea also only gained four goals in 16 Premier League games after paying £9m for a loan deal in January. Felix would now like to return to England with Aston Villa showing interest in his transfer, per Rudy Galetti. Villa Park chiefs are carefully tracking his situation with Atleti.

What has Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo said?

Aston Villa are prepared to hold out to deadline day to agree to Felix’s transfer from Atletico Madrid. But Unai Emery and sporting director Monchi may face rivalling interest from Saudi Arabia. He has huge interest in the Middle East with Al-Hilal, in particular, pushing for a deal.

Yet Cerezo is unsure of to what level teams are actually looking to sign the Viseu native. But Felix has made his desires to leave the Colchoneros ‘clear’ to the Atletico Madrid president.

“Joao Felix is clear that he does not want to play for Atletico Madrid,” Cerezo told La Sexta. “Whether they want him at other clubs, that’s a different question. But even if he doesn’t want to be, he’s still an Atletico Madrid player.”

Report: Arsenal could have to pay £80m for ‘fantastic’ player they want in January

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been linked with a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney.

According to The Times, Arsenal are interested in signing Ivan Toney from London and Premier League rivals Brentford in the January transfer window and could make a bid.

The report has claimed that Arsenal are among a number of clubs who are keen on Toney, who grew up a Liverpool fan.

Toney is serving a ban at the moment and will be available to play again only in January 2024.

The Times has added that Brentford want as much as £80 million for the England international, who was described as a “brilliant” and “fantastic” striker by former Tottenham Hotspur player Jamie O’Hara on talkSPORT (6:29pm, August 19, 2023).

Arsenal should bid for Brentford striker Ivan Toney now

If Arsenal want to sign Ivan Toney in January 2024 and could bid for the England international striker, they should just put in an offer now.

After all, if Arsenal genuinely think that the striker would make them better in the second half of the season, then what is stopping them from trying to sign him now?

ivan toney

Yes, Toney would be able to play only in January 2024, but at least Arsenal would not have to worry about other clubs trying to sign the 27-year-old striker in the middle of the season.

Yes, the summer transfer window will close in a matter of days and £80 million is a lot of money, but what about putting in a bid of £40 million or £50 million and then seeing what Brentford does?

We must note that we do not think that Toney is worth £80 million, but Brentford are a well-run Premier League club and the Bees are not going to sell the striker on the cheap.

Toney has made 68 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The striker has scored 32 goals and given nine assists in those games.
