Sky pundit Paul Robinson has been critical of Javi Gracia after his stint as Leeds United manager has not particularly had a transformative impact.
The Whites sit 19th in the Premier League table and while Gracia has been praised by Tyler Adams and Junior Firpo, it seems as if the club could get relegated despite sacking Jesse Marsch.
Considering Javi Gracia saved Watford from relegation, it seemed during his arrival that he was the perfect man for the job.
But Sky pundit Paul Robinson has said that Javi Gracia may well not be as Leeds find themselves in a sea of problems even now.
Sky pundit Paul Robinson bashes Leeds boss Javi Gracia
Several Whites supporters seem to be growing increasingly frustrated with the Spaniard but the players have come across rather confident about their chances of survival such as Robin Koch for one.
Pundit Paul Robinson has now questioned whether Javi Gracia is even the man for the job at Leeds on Sky Sports News.
“The jury is out, it’s a puzzle that is not solved. He was the best of what was there available. I was surprised. Some of his team selections have been questionable, leaving McKennie out, continually playing [Brenden] Aaronson and leaving [Wilfried] Gnonto out.”
All is not lost
While the concerns about the manager’s ability to save the Whites are valid, it is worth remembering that there are 12 games to go in the Premier League.
Furthermore, the relegation battle is as tight as can be, which gives Gracia and Co. the chance to survive.
Keeping these factors in mind alongside the fact that Javi Gracia has the experience of being in such a situation, pundit Paul Robinson should perhaps give the Leeds boss some more time to prove his quality.
But of course, he needs to find a solution to things and fast.
