Arsenal are reportedly looking into signing Manor Solomon and the Fulham star was full of praise for Mikel Arteta’s Premier League leaders after their 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage on Sunday, speaking to Sport1.
If the Shakhtar Donetsk loanee was already intrigued by the idea of joining the Gunners this summer – his Fulham deal expiring in a matter of months – then that would not have been diminished by an outstanding performance from the away side in West London.
Arsenal produced perhaps the best, most complete performance of an outstanding campaign; Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard all scoring as Leandro Trossard produced three assists from his ‘false nine’ role.
A well-earned clean sheet, meanwhile, saw Arsenal also bring an end to Solomon’s run of four goals in four consecutive top-flight games.
Arsenal reportedly like Fulham winger Manor Solomon
“We didn’t start the game properly,” admits the Israel international. “Arsenal showed dominance from the first moment and were better throughout. The game did not go as we expected. They were better in every parameter and they deserved to win.”
Arsenal remain four points clear of Manchester City in top spot. According to Solomon, there is no doubting the identity of the division’s ‘strongest team’ these days.
“(Arsenal is) the strongest team in the Premier League,” he adds. “They showed it throughout the season and today. In all our games at home, we were strong and dominant. Today was more difficult, also for me personally.”
Fabrizio Romano believes a wide range of clubs are keeping tabs on Solomon as the one-time Maccabi Petah Tikva winger faces an uncertain future beyond the summer. Arsenal, per Israeli publication Ynet, are among them.
“For me, personally, it’s exciting,” Solomon’s wife, Dana Waszcina, tells Sport1 when asked about those Arsenal links.
“But let’s wait and see because you never know what will happen in the summer, as always. I hope that we will be in a good place. At a good team, and that both of us will be good.
“I believe in him very much. Because I see up close how hard he works, I very much hope (he can become a legend of Israeli football). I believe in him, and I think it is possible.”
