Cam’ron’s iconic pink fur coat is all over social media after the rapper said he didn’t watch Creed 3 due to a picture of its actors, Michael B Jordan and Jonathan Majors, taken in close proximity.
The American turned heads with his bold fashion statement in early 2000, without being bothered about the gender stereotypes associated with the color pink.
The rapper donned his pink fur coat confidently, but it was spotted in public only a few times as Cam’ron wasn’t pleased with all the attention it was getting.
However, fans are reminding him of his own choice of clothing, after he seemingly dissed Creed 3 stars Michael B Jordan and Jonathan Majors’ bromance.

Cam’ron’s pink fur coat is more than just an attire

In an interview with Boardroom, the rapper revealed that people have bid as much as $300,000 for his pink fur coat, but he refused to sell it because he hasn’t found the right person yet who could truly appreciate the treasured piece of clothing.
He said: “The people who offered it to me, I didn’t feel they deserved It was more of a stat to them like, ‘I bought Cam’s jacket.’ It wasn’t really like they appreciated where that jacket came from.”
“If it makes sense to sell it to somebody who would appreciate it or put it where it’s gonna be seen and be stored that people know it’s my jacket, cool,” the rapper said.
He has only worn it around three times
Cam’ron bought his famous jacket from a store called Apollo Signature in Harlem on 125th Street nearly 20 years ago.
However, in more than two decades, he has worn it only about three times. The rapper doesn’t like the attention it got when he wore it to a Fashion Week one year, so he decided to keep it away from the cameras.
He also claimed people have wanted to put his jacket on display in museums and exhibitions, but it comes out only on special occasions, like Drake‘s show at Apollo.
The Her Loss artist took to the stage in Cam’ron’s pink mink jacket with a matching bandana – the rapper’s actual garments.
Jacket dragged into an online controversy
Just the way wearing pink-colored clothes doesn’t define an individual’s sexuality, a picture showing two men standing in close proximity has nothing do to with their masculinity.
Even though Cam’ron did not explicitly express his disapproval of Michael and Jonathan’s pictures, his comment about not watching their film only because of the photoshoot has irked many.
Thus, they are dragging the rapper for flaunting his pink jacket for years.
One wrote: “Bruh you used to rock pink everything back in the day and it was cool. Chill out my guy.”
“Cam’ron wore pink for 20 years straight…. but worried about how two men posed in a picture,” said another.
A third person said: “If you can’t watch the movie because of the picture, we can’t listen to your music anymore cuz of your pink coat.”
