Arsenal may well have another chance to sign Noussair Mazraoui with the Bayern Munich defender’s representatives gauging interest.

That is according to a report from 90Min, who claim that Mazraoui could be on the move again this summer.

Mazraoui only left Ajax last summer, completing a free transfer move to Bayern Munich at the end of his contract.

The Moroccan is cutting a frustrated figure though having failed to nail down a starting role in Bavaria.

Mazraoui spoke to Abendzeitung’s Maximilian Koch after Bayern’s Champions League exit and admitted he is unhappy with his playing time.

The 25-year-old has started just six league games this season and hasn’t started once under Thomas Tuchel.

It’s now suggested that Arsenal are being kept informed about Mazraoui’s future with his representatives exploring potential moves.

The Gunners aren’t the only team in contact over Mazraoui though.

Manchester United, Newcastle United, Wolves, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are also being looked at as potential destinations for Mazraoui.

Assessing potential Noussair Mazraoui suitors

Arsenal were interested in signing Mazraoui at the end of his Ajax contract according to reports from ESPN in November 2021.

The Gunners have been linked with a number of right backs of late and may well seek competition for Ben White.

Mazraoui could fit the bill but Manchester United may be right in the mix.

The Red Devils are in the market for a new right back and Erik ten Hag certainly knows Mazraoui well having worked together at Ajax.

West Ham United may look to invest in a right back with Vladimir Coufal maybe taking a step back this season.

The Hammers would be able to give Mazraoui more starts than Arsenal and possibly United, but certainly need to secure their Premier League future.

The one that really doesn’t add up for us is Newcastle United.

The Magpies already have a top right back in Kieran Trippier whilst his eventual heir, Harrison Ashby, only arrived in January.

A new right back surely won’t be wanted at St James’ Park and moves to Arsenal, Manchester United or West Ham United make more sense.
