Sam Allardyce has said that while Harry Redknapp would be perfect to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager, there is no chance Daniel Levy would appoint him.

Branded as a ‘legendary manager’ by Benchwarmers, the veteran coach continues to be lauded for his time at Spurs.

However, Sam Allardyce has said that Daniel Levy would simply not even consider Harry Redknapp as a candidate for the Tottenham manager job.

Allardyce says Levy would never appoint Redknapp as Tottenham manager

The Englishman is renowned for have pushed Gareth Bale, who is regarded as one of the greatest British players of all time further forward, from being a left-back to a left winger.

Redknapp nurtured almost all the youngsters in N17 extremely well and while his Lilywhites side failed to win a trophy, they tended to overachieve and play a breathtaking brand of football.

As Tottenham continue to get linked with a different manager on a daily basis, Sam Allardyce said that there is no chance that Daniel Levy would favour a Harry Redknapp reunion.

“I think with the way Daniel got rid of Harry before when he got to the Champions League before anyone else”, he told the No Tippy Tappy Podcast.

“Harry is too much of a manager rather than a head coach, and that’s Daniel’s problem, he knows his players, he does as much research as anyone and he’s too much of a manager for Daniel. He didn’t even consider him to be an interim.”

HITC View: Levy would be right not to appoint Redknapp

Not to even suggest that Sam Allardyce is incorrect in any way, shape or form but Daniel Levy would be making the right call by steering clear of Harry Redknapp as a potential candidate for the Tottenham manager job.

With coaches such as Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann currently out-of-work and Arne Slot tipped to leave Feyenoord, these options would be far superior to the ex-Spurs boss.

While some may argue that Levy’s reason not to appoint Redknapp may not be practical, the actual decision not to would be.
