Singer Erykah Badu attended Met Gala 2023 with her daughter Puma Sabti Curry and fans cannot stop talking about the mother-daughter duo’s look.
The Didn’t Cha Know singer was one of the star celebrities attending the Met Gala this year. Like many others who attended, Erykah too put her unique spin on the Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty theme.
The star, who will soon start her Unfollow Me tour, was adorned in jewelry that greatly complemented her look. Erykah wasn’t alone at the event, she was joined by her eldest daughter, Puma.

Erykah came to the Met Gala dressed in all white and covered in a variety of jewels. She donned what appeared to be a white dress with a turtleneck. Her look was one of the most unique ones seen on the red carpet this year.
However, the most eye-catching part of the whole look was the long white fur that covered her from top to bottom. Most of the singer’s face was covered in fur too. Fans could only see her lips and chin as well as a bit of her nose.
Erykah, who recently broke up with boyfriend JaRon Adkison, donned a variety of jewelry like shorter necklaces with blue crystals on them, a giant white bead necklace, as well as a long piece with a giant round metal at the end.
She also donned several rings and finished her look with massive white platform heels.
Singer’s daughter Puma looked stunning in pearls
Erykah was accompanied by her eldest daughter Puma Sabti Curry at the Met Gala this year. It was the 18-year-old’s first appearance at the event and she made sure it was a memorable one.
Puma donned an outfit featuring shiny pearls but one that also showed a fair bit of skin. Her bralette was made out of pearls. She also wore a headpiece heavily covered in pearls that drooped down to her face.
She completed her look with a pinkish-white fur coat.
Fans react to Erykah Met Gala 2023 look
Some fans thought that Erykah resembled Sia in her white fur headpiece.
“Giving me SIA, BUT the rings giving Erykah Badu. She ate the theme whoever!” one fan commented.
Others thought she looked unrecognizable.
“Erykah Badu is that you?” another incredulous fan asked.
However, a few fans began associating her with different things.
“Erykah Badu- she thought she was auditioning for the ghost of Christmas past,” a third fan joked.
