Dion Dublin says the career of Leeds United summer target James Milner has been ‘outstanding’ ahead of his Liverpool departure.
On Saturday, as Liverpool recorded a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa, James Milner played his final home game for the Merseyside club.
After starting his career as a fresh-faced teenager in the colours of Leeds United to winning the European Cup with Liverpool, Dublin thinks the 37-year-old has been a ‘model pro’, as he told BBC Sport.

There is talk that Milner could now head to Brighton in the summer, they secured Europa League football by beating Southampton on Sunday.
But there have also been suggestions that a return to Leeds could also be on the cards, although, the Whites need to survive Premier League relegation for that to happen.
Nonetheless, with Milner now in his last days as a Liverpool player, he was lauded and applauded for what he has done.
“The players you have mentioned have contributed massively,” said Dublin. “Especially James Milner. I think his career in general has been outstanding.
“He has been that model pro that has kept the dressing room how it needs to be along with Hendo (Henderson) as well, and big characters in there. I think James Milner is going to be a massive loss. You would want him on your side.”

MILNER WOULD BE A SMART CAPTURE FOR BRIGHTON OR LEEDS
Whilst Milner has that affection for Leeds, it seems as though the Yorkshire club won’t even be able to stay in the Premier League to try and get a chance to sign him this summer.
That step to Brighton, and possibly ending his career at the Amex Stadium, seems like the next logical step.
They have just secured their highest-ever Premier League finish and they are in Europe for the first time in their history.
A man like Milner’s talents is perfect to help guide them through that, so it would be a smart capture, either way.
