Luis Enrique hasn’t been deterred from the Tottenham Hotspur job despite major question marks over the recruitment structure.
That’s according to 90Min, who claim that Julian Nagelsmann isn’t so keen on the idea of being in charge of transfers.
Enrique on the other hand is content with the situation, which may well be that he has to take a strong role in recruitment.
Tottenham are without a director of football right now following Fabio Paratici’s departure in February.
An appointment to replace the Italian doesn’t look imminent and Tottenham could head into the summer window without a new director of football in place.
This subject is of course coming up in conversations with potential managers, who want to know Tottenham’s transfer plans.
Enrique seems to be comfortable with the situation, with the Spaniard no doubt wanting major control over transfers anyway.
Tottenham have held talks with Enrique about becoming their new manager, after he was ruled out of contention for the Chelsea job.

Enrique seems to fancy a move to the Premier League after leaving his post as Spain boss following the World Cup.
This would be a risk for Tottenham though given that Enrique hasn’t been in domestic management since 2017.
This could also mean a major transfer expenditure for Tottenham in order to satisfy Enrique’s needs.
The former Barcelona boss has favoured a ‘tiki taka’ approach tactically having coached Barcelona B, Barcelona and Spain.
Tottenham absolutely do not have the players to play that way right now.
If Enrique wants to play intricate passing football, he will need a raft of signings with real technical ability.
That’s something Tottenham have to be aware of with Enrique, especially without a director of football working in tandem with the Spaniard.
