West Ham United are interested in snapping up Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Max Kilman despite links to Liverpool.

Wolves defender Max Kilman finds himself at the centre of a transfer battle with West Ham United joining the race according to the Daily Mail.

It’s stated that West Ham fancy signing a new defender this summer after a difficult campaign.

Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie is one target but it’s suggested that Kilman is more realistic.

West Ham scouts are understood to have been really impressed with Kilman and they are keen to lure him to East London.

Both Hincapie and Kilman are left-footed centre backs, hinting that this specific type of player is what Moyes wants.

This is something a surprise given that West Ham did invest in a left-sided centre back last summer in Nayef Aguerd.

The Moroccan has impressed in his first season in East London but Moyes seemingly wants another option.

Kilman is now on the radar but West Ham can expect some lofty competition for his signature.

Liverpool also interested in signing Max Kilman

Kilman has been so impressive for Wolves that he has attracted even loftier interest.

Reporter Ben Jacobs told Caught Offside in February that Liverpool are considering a summer move for Kilman.

Jacobs added that Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on Kilman with the former futsal player becoming a wanted man.

Left-sided centre backs are very popular in the modern game and Kilman is one of them.

Should Liverpool or Tottenham come calling for Kilman, it would be hard for West Ham to get in and win the race.

Kilman will have England international ambitions and has been hailed as ‘streets ahead’ of Harry Maguire by ex-Wolves man David Edwards.

Maybe a move away from Molineux will further those hopes but whether West Ham would be his idea of progression remains to be seen.
