Brad Friedel thinks Leeds United are ‘gone’ and they will get relegated from the Premier League this season.
The former Premier League goalkeeper added that Leeds United are missing Tyler Adams, who is injured and he has been out of action since his side’s 2-2 draw against Brighton in March.
During that period, Leeds have conceded 25 goals – and that’s why Javi Gracia has been booted out.
Relegation specialist Sam Allardyce has been brought in to try and keep the team in the Premier League.
But he is going to be without a key member in the middle of the park, with Friedel and Ian Wright worried about those from Yorkshire, as they told Premier League Productions.
“I think Leeds definitely are gone,” said Friedel. “I think they are gone. I have been watching their performances. I think they miss Tyler Adams a lot.
“They miss his energy and bite in the midfield. They just look listless to me when they are playing – I think West Ham are fine.”
Wright on Leeds’ chances: “I feel we are going to lose a big’un. We are going to lose an Everton or a Leeds. I really do believe that.”
CAN ALLARDYCE SAVE LEEDS?
The 68-year-old has seen it all during his time in the dugout, but this is his biggest test.
Simply because he only has four games to save Leeds, he won’t have much time to turn things around.
What makes matters worse is that Leeds United have to face Manchester City and Newcastle United in his first two matches.
