Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem sliced its way into US theaters on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
After years of being sheltered from the human world and living in the sewers beneath New York, the Turtle brothers – Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael – set out on a new mission to win the heart of the city’s residents.
In the hope of being accepted as normal teenagers, the gang partners up with new friend April O’Neil as they take on a mysterious crime syndicate.
However, the Turtles quickly find themselves in over their shells when an army of terrifying mutants is unleashed upon them.

Who composed the score?
Beyond Mutant Mayhem’s use of licensed songs, the film also features a pulsating score that is the work of composing duo Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Both are members of the rock band Nine Inch Nails and as well as their work with the band, the pair have also turned their attention to composing music for films.
The first feature film the pair worked on was 2010’s The Social Network and since then, they’ve gone on to work on the likes of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Mank, Empire of Light, 2019’s Watchmen series, Bird Box and Pixar’s Soul for which the pair won the Academy Award for Best Original Score in 2021.
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’s score for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is available to stream on the likes of Spotify and Apple Music after being released alongside the film itself.
