Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
Both Arsenal and Manchester City are doing well at the moment.
City are the defending Premier League champions, while Arsenal are arguably their main challengers for the title this season.
While the match in North London on Sunday is not going to be decisive, the winners will get a psychological edge.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta told to start Leandro Trossard vs Manchester City
Former Arsenal star Kieran Gibbs has said that manager Mikel Arteta should include Leandro Trossard in the starting lineup.
With wingers Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka having injury issues, Gibbs believes that Arteta has to start the £20 million (Sky Sports) Belgium international winger.
Gibbs said on ESPN FC: “Trossard definitely has to start for me in this game.”
My View: Leandro Trossard could star for Arsenal vs Manchester City
In my view, Leandro Trossard could be a star for Arsenal against Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium in North London.
Trossard is essentially a squad player at Arsenal at the moment.
Martinelli and Saka start matches for the Gunners whenever they are fit and available.
However, the 28-year-old is a very good winger who knows the Premier League inside out.
I believe that Trossard could make an impact for Arsenal if he started against City.
The winger has made 139 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Trossard has scored 27 goals and given 23 assists in those games.
