A TikToker’s hilarious first-try review video of Indian food has taken the internet by storm, as he claimed to be left mind-blown by his butter chicken and garlic naan order.
TikToker @lukefoods has racked up over 8 million views on his recent TikTok food review, which saw him visit India Oven in Kentucky to dip his toes into the Indian restaurant water.
Viewers have been left both entertained and heart-warmed by the hilariously wholesome reaction to the food, which he described as a “violation” of his taste buds and potentially the best thing he’s ever tasted.
LukeFoods’ first-ever Indian food order
For his first taste of Indian cuisine, Luke chose to order a butter chicken dish along with garlic naan and onion bhajis. For dessert, he went for gulab jamun..
Starting with his onion bhajis, Luke was left impressed but not quite mindblown just yet. That was to come. Luke compared the bhaj to an onion ring and ranked it a healthy eight out of 10.
Then, Luke went in for his first try of garlic naan, completely unaware of the somewhat holy experience he was about to have. “That seasoning is out of this world,” he narrated, adding that it’s “cooked to perfection.”
“I’m not even joking,” reassured Luke. “It’s thin bread but it has so much flavor to it.”
The grand finale of butter chicken
Luke was impressed by his bite of garlic naan (who isn’t?), but it was the butter chicken that left him completely blown away.
“Holy c**p,” he told the camera with sheer disbelief and enthusiasm after chowing down on the dish. “This might be the best thing I’ve ever tasted.”
The food creator warned himself to “chill out” after eating the food, before describing it to the camera as “absolutely delicious.”
“This is divine,” continued in his apparent devotion to butter chicken, before describing it as “one of the best things I’ve had in my life.” Scoring higher than the onion bhajis, the butter chicken earned a 9.9 out of 10. “I am absolutely blown away,” remarked Luke, vowing to get more of the food in the future.
Much to the delight of TikTok users who claimed in comments to have been screaming through the screen for him to combo the food, Luke dipped his garlic naan bread into the butter chicken. “My tastebuds have been violated,” he ruled. “That should be a crime.”
The Indian food review video has since gone viral
Viewers loved Luke’s reaction to trying Indian cuisine for the very first time, taking to the comments to share their own recommendations too.
“Garlic naan dipped in butter chicken sauce is truly the best bite of food there is,” wrote one TikTok user.
The viral post has even made its way to Twitter, where it’s been viewed over 32 million times. “This incredibly sincere white guy trying Indian food for the very first time and having his mind blown in so wholesome,” tweeted one user.
