Chelsea showed a ruthless streak by selling the likes of Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic and Kai Havertz to Premier League rivals over the summer.

Roma want Chelsea left back Ian Maatsen
90min now report that Chelsea are ready to sell left back Ian Maatsen in January.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Burnley and played a starring role as the Clarets won promotion to the Premier League.
Burnley then agreed a loan deal with an option to buy Maatsen for £31.5million, but the Dutchman rejected a deadline-day move.
Maatsen may have been hoping to break through at Chelsea but that really hasn’t happened this season.
Maatsen hasn’t started a single Premier League game this season and has made 10 substitute appearances for a total of just 132 minutes.
Chelsea are now ready to flog Maatsen and 90min believe that Roma have joined the race for his signature.
It’s claimed that Manchester City and West Ham United are keen but Roma, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli are all interested.
A move to Roma would see Maatsen join forces with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, but their union may be short-lived.
Mourinho is still widely expected to leave Roma at the end of the season but is still chasing new signings alongside sporting director Tiago Pinto.
A natural left-footer to compete with right-footed left wing back Leonardo Spinazzola could be very appealing and Maatsen fits the bill.
Whether Roma can come up with the cash for a permanent deal is unclear but Maatsen may well fancy the chance to play for Mourinho – even if only for a few months.
