Clinton Morrison has praised Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski for a game-changing display as Tottenham Hotspur beat Burnley 1-0 in the FA Cup third round this Friday.

The BBC pundit believes Porro and Kulusevski helped Tottenham flip their ‘threat’ during the second half against the Clarets. Morrison felt Spurs had mainly relied on Destiny Udogie and Brennan Johnson to give Burnley problems. But their danger zones changed after the break.

Porro and Udogie further impressed Morrison as Tottenham edged Burnley having given the Clarets endless issues in the FA Cup. It was Porro who settled the tie, as well, when the right-back unleashed a clinical strike. He found the top corner from 25 yards out after 78 minutes.

Scoring the winning goal was the cherry on top of Porro’s performance for Tottenham in the FA Cup third-round against Burnley. Per WhoScored, no player for either team offered more key passes than Porro with three. Udogie was one of only three players to register two, too.

Johnson, meanwhile, led the game for attempted shots with six, double the tally of second-ranked Kulusevski. The 22-year-old winger also recorded the most on-target attempts as the only player with multiple. He forced Arijanet Muric to make four of his six saves in the game.

Porro registered two of his three key passes during the first 45 minutes as Johnson also took three shots. Kulusevski only recorded one of his three shots before the break. While Udogie recorded both of the Tottenham left-back’s key balls against Burnley during the second half.

Yet, despite the timings of their impacts in the final third, Morrison felt Porro and Kulusevski had a greater impact on Tottenham’s FA Cup tie against Burnley after the break. Before then, he felt Spurs’ best moments came down the left as Johnson led their offensive advances.

“In the first half, everything was going down the Tottenham left,” Morrison told BBC Radio 5 Live. “But so far in this second half, Porro and Kulusevski have been a threat down the right. They have really come into the game.”
