It was a contrasting week in the Premier League for West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.
David Moyes watched his side get well and truly thumped 6-0 by Arsenal, whilst Spurs left it late and secured yet another stoppage-time win, this time against Brighton.
Tim Sherwood fired shots at the West Ham United fans leaving early, with pictures showing some of the supporters heading for the exit door at half-time.
The former midfielder highlighted how Ange Postecoglou has transformed things at Tottenham by playing his way and his way only.
Tim Sherwood added that, in the last three or four years, the Spurs faithful have been ‘bored’ at what they have been watching, but they haven’t been ‘as bad as West Ham fans by leaving after 30 minutes’, as he told Premier League Productions (12/02/24 at 5:50 pm).
Conceding a goal to a team pushing for the Premier League title is understandable, even a few.
But to be 4-0 down after 45 minutes, for any side, is beyond unacceptable, so you could understand the frustration of the West Ham support.

“He has a playing style wherever he has been and he has adapted it at Tottenham,” said Sherwood about Postecoglou. “He said he would and he has stuck to his word.
“No matter what the score is, they will continue to run forward and, no matter how many men they get on the pitch, as we saw against Chelsea when they had a couple of men sent off as well. He continues to play a high line. Press forward and try to score goals.
“The fans are loving it. The cloud has been moved from Tottenham. The last three or four years, they have been bored at what they have been watching.
“They haven’t been as bad as West Ham fans leaving after 30 minutes, but it has been getting that way, but not anymore.”
West Ham fans were right to leave early
When you put your hard-earned money down to watch your team play, and they put up that type of dross, they you can do what you want, even if it means leaving early.
This isn’t the first type of performance where West Ham fans have questioned their team or Moyes.
Despite winning the Europa Conference League last season, there seems to be an air of doubt about whether the Scotsman is the right man for the job.
As Spurs fans witnessed week in and week out under their previous managers, the sleep-walking style of play isn’t fun to watch, especially when you aren’t winning games.
