This weekend could truly define what happens to Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
It’s the showdown of all showdowns against Liverpool at Old Trafford and with a chance to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
If Erik ten Hag watches his side get booted out, then calls for the Dutchman to be replaced will only grow.
One name that has been doing the rounds is ex-Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, who is currently at Bayern Munich.
Alan Brazil was left baffled by that suggestion and claimed that ‘he doesn’t get that one’, as he told talkSPORT (12/03/24 at 6:55 am).
The German will leave Munich at the end of the season after a horror show in the Bundesliga which will, more than likely, result in the team missing out on the title for the first time in over a decade.
Of course, Thomas Tuchel has history in the Champions League and there is still a chance he can enhance his stock by winning club football’s biggest-ever trophy, again.
But even then, Alan Brazil still doesn’t get these rumours involving the 50-year-old with the Manchester United job.

This game couldn’t get any bigger, for either team, to be fair.
Liverpool are on the hunt to win every trophy possible this season and they want to do it even more because Jurgen Klopp is going to leave at the end of the campaign.
The last thing they want is their bitter rivals spoiling the party and ensuring that at least one major trophy doesn’t land on their doorstep before their legendary manager is out.
But, on the other, if Manchester United lose this one, then you can just feel and sense where the talk is going to head towards.
It’s going to be all about ten Hag’s future because their chances of securing Champions League football for next season are very slim.
