One of the best players for Liverpool in recent weeks has been Caoimhin Kelleher, but Lee Dixon was not particularly impressed with the goalkeeper against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Liverpool took on Premier League rivals Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s side lost the tie 4-3 after extra time. Amad Diallo scored the winning goal in injury time of extra time.
The former Sunderland loanee found the back of the net with a low effort past Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, who has been playing in the first team in recent weeks due to the injury to Alisson and has done well.
It was a brilliant goal for United. Liverpool made a mess of the corner, and Diallo won the ball 25 yards from his own goal. Alejandro Garnacho, who has been playing well this season, charged forward and fed Diallo for the winner.

Former Arsenal and England defender Lee Dixon was following the match for ITV, and he was not particularly impressed with Kelleher, 25, for letting in Diallo’s goal.
Dixon said on ITV: “Just look at the edge of the box, the break is on. Garnacho’s pass is a little bit behind Amad. Kelleher should save that, surely.”
Blow for Liverpool
I think that Liverpool fans will be hugely disappointed with the final result against Manchester United.
After winning the Carabao Cup this season, the Reds were looking to clinch the Premier League, the UEFA Europa League and the FA Cup.
And nowthe chance of winning the FA Cup is gone. Arsenal and Manchester City are aiming to win the Premier League title, so Liverpool face stiff competition there.
As for the UEFA Europa League, it is a cup competition, so anything is possible. Liverpool could get knocked out by an inferior team, like they did against United.
