Liverpool fans are going to find it very hard to recover from Jurgen Klopp’s departure in the summer.

The great moments he has provided on Merseyside are unmatched, legendary stuff and memorable moments that will last the fans a lifetime.

From ending Liverpool’s three-decade wait to become champions again to lifting the club’s sixth European Cup.

It has been incredible of the highest order, and with Liverpool sitting top of the Premier League table currently, it can end in the most perfect of ways for the German in these coming weeks.

But he couldn’t have done all of this without the players who have served him so well, especially one individual – Mohamed Salah.

On Sunday, as the Reds came from 1-0 down to beat Brighton 2-1, it was Salah who scored the winning goal.

That now means the 31-year-old has had 25 Premier League goal involvements this season, which blew Rio Ferdinand away, as he told FIVE.

The legendary centre-back highlighted how he has joined a rare list involving Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer by getting to that mark for the seventh time in his career.

And how his ‘consistent’ body of work for Liverpool over the years has been ‘just phenomenal’.

Mohamed Salah’s goal involvements

“But I have to say, Mo Salah,” said Ferdinand.

“He has been away at the AFCON. He has been injured and has 25+ goal involvements. Most Premier League seasons with 25+ goal involvements and he sits alongside, Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer, who are all on seven.

“Consistency. Mo Salah should be alongside the word consistency. What he has done with goals, assists and just sheer impact at the club is just phenomenal.”

Mohamed Salah sharpening up

For large parts of the game against Brighton, Salah looked rusty and lacked that cutting edge.

A lack of game time in recent months because of injury is playing a huge part in that, but despite that, he still managed to score the winning goal.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if he still has some rust to wear off in these coming weeks.

But as the matches come thick and fast, it won’t be too long before the Egypt star is hitting the top form during the perfect time of the season for his title-chasing side.
