You would think that Arsenal would be feeling some Premier League title heat by now, but think again!

This time last season, Mikel Arteta’s players were bulking under pressure and blowing their chances of winning silverware.

But after Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Brighton on Saturday, which even caught the attention of Tennis star Andy Murray, you feel this team has hit new heights in their quest to become champions of England.

One of the main reasons for that is the defence – the best in the Premier League in every key defensive department after 31 games.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side are no mugs. But to keep them at bay and not even allow them a sniff is rather impressive.

Centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes, and his partner in crime William Saliba, are key reasons behind that, but they also have to thank their midfield for that protection and reliability.

Jorginho, who is the brains of the midfield, has also elevated the team and his teammates lauded him on Instagram after the win over Brighton.

In the comments section of his IG post, Gabriel wrote ‘what a player, my brother’, whilst Kai Havertz added a magic wand – he assisted the German for Arsenal’s second goal of the game at the Amex Stadium.

Arsenal return to top of the Premier League table

This pulsating three-way Premier League title race shows no sign of stopping with Arsenal returning to the top of the table, for the time being!

The massive positive on their side is the fact that their goal difference, compared to Liverpool and Manchester City, is significantly better and should remain that way.

Come the final kick of the campaign, that could become very, very crucial and worth an extra point in their quest to become champions of England again for the first time in two decades.

Until then, Arsenal fans will be cheering on a struggling Manchester United side on Sunday because they have another chance to spoil Liverpool’s party when the duo meet at Old Trafford in a mouthwatering Premier League showdown.
