HITC understands that Manor Solomon has made a decision over his next move and it is good news for Leeds United.
Daniel Farke’s Leeds United have been busy in the summer transfer market with the Yorkshire club hoping to break back into the Premier League after coming so close last season. Leeds lost 1-0 in the play-off final to Southampton.
Forwards are seemingly being targeted by the club with HITC reporting that Leeds United have struck an agreement for Largie Ramazani, with the former Manchester United winger, now at UD Almeria, moving to Elland Road in a £10 million deal.
Now, HITC understands they are closing in on another forward signing.
Manor Solomon agrees to join Leeds United
HITC can confirm that Manor Solomon has agreed to join Leeds, shunning rival offers from England and abroad.
HITC understands that the Israeli international had interest from the Premier League, Spain and France – but he has opted to move to Elland Road.
Despite interest from elsewhere, the Tottenham Hotspur winger is now set to move to Yorkshire and add something different for the EFL Championship side next season.
After Solomon featured in five of the club’s opening seven Premier League games under Ange Postecoglou, an injury in early October required surgery to the meniscus on his right knee and brought his campaign to a premature end.
Prior to his disastrous spell at Tottenham, the Israeli winger was at Fulham where he netted four Premier League goals for the Cottagers.
Leeds beat Premier League competition to land Solomon
HITC understands that Farke’s Leeds have pipped several sides to the signing of the former Shakhtar Donetsk winger.
We are told that the likes of Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Sheffield United and Norwich Citywere among those to show an interest but Leeds are set to seal his signature on loan for the season.
Postecoglou confirmed in his Friday press conference that there would be some outgoings between now and the transfer deadline.
“As much as the focus has been on getting guys in, we’ve changed the squad a fair bit, brought down the demographic a fair way,” Postecoglou said.
“We’ve brought in footballers who are more better suited to play the football we want to play moving forwards. So, there has been a lot of work done in that area from our perspective, but with a week to go there is still a little bit to do.”
