Tottenham Hotspur are looking for a new permanent manager after parting company with Antonio Conte last week.

The Italian left Spurs by mutual consent in wake of his explosive post-Southampton press conference.

Plenty of managers have been linked with the Tottenham reins, including Mauricio Pochettino and Julian Nagelsmann.

However, one coach hasn’t been linked with the Spurs job of late, despite links late last year.

In November, journalist Rudy Galetti claimed Spurs were eyeing Benfica’s Roger Schmidt in case Antonio Conte left.

As a contingency plan, Tottenham reportedly identified the 55-year-old as the ‘ideal profile’ in that case.

Speculation linking Schmidt and Spurs petered out soon enough and it never really resumed.

Now, the German has penned a new contract at Benfica until 2026, the Portuguese giants have confirmed.

Schmidt has worked wonders at Benfica, losing just one league game all season.

Second-placed Porto sit 10 points behind the 55-year-old’s side.

In addition, the table-toppers have scored a staggering 66 goals and conceded just 14.

Schmidt would’ve been a good shout for Tottenham due to his quality, style of football and ability to get results.

In September, Total Football Analysis wrote an in-depth article about Schmidt’s Benfica.

‘Benfica have been extremely entertaining to watch under Roger Schmidt,’ they wrote.

‘The German manager has introduced dominant tactics which ensure a controlled approach to all phases of possession.

‘When defending, they are extremely aggressive without allowing the opposition a lot of chances.

‘In addition to interesting tactics, they have an extremely talented and promising squad.

‘With the UEFA Champions League beginning this week, they are certainly a team to watch in the competition.’

Viral Morgan Freeman and Joe Biden video explored

The viral video first surfaced online on Twitter when Stew Peters, host of The Stew Peters Show, shared a tweet with the clip saying: “Morgan Freeman BLASTS Joe Biden for being an incompetent ice cream-loving FOOL.”

Following this, many started tweeting out the video and it became viral on the platform.

Some Twitter users were convinced that it was Freeman in the video. However, that is not true.

Viral video debunked

The video was first posted on TikTok by a user named @luispabon60. As of now, the clip has received over one million views. People in the comment section also fell victim to it as many thought it was the actor who was speaking.

However, the real person behind the video is another TikTok user who goes by the name @themanofmanyvoices. If you look at his profile, you would notice that he makes use of filters to change his face while voice-impersonating celebrities and well-known people.

The user also impersonates Sylvester Stallone‘s Rocky.

Samsung’s moon photos explored

People have often shown pictures of the moon that were clicked on Samsung and quite often they were thrilled to see how the device was able to capture its unique features.

However, things changed in March when a Reddit user posted a thread claiming that the photos were fake.

In it, the user explained his point by sharing two pictures of the moon and claimed that the device was adding details that were not there, to begin with.

The user noted: “If you turn off “scene optimizer”, you get the actual picture of the moon, which is a blurry mess (as it should be, given the optics and sensor that are used).”

What Samsung said about these ‘fake’ photos

After the post went viral on social media and platforms like TikTok, Samsung finally broke its silence and confessed that AI technology was integrated to make sure that the camera captures a good photo.

In its statement, the brand noted: “Samsung is committed to delivering best-in-class camera experiences in all conditions. The latter was first-choice last season, while White has made the spot his own since converting from centre-back.

Boey has been impressive for Galatasaray since making the switch from Rennes in 2021.

‘Known for his attacking prowess and defensive skills, Boey’s dynamic playing style has garnered attention and praise,’ Daily Cannon recently wrote.

Aksam, via Sport Witness, have reported that Lyon have already seen an €8m bid rejected by the Super Lig giants.

Meanwhile, Target Scouting wrote earlier this year that the 22-year-old “is a player with the potential to go anywhere”.

Boey seems to tick a lot of boxes for Arsenal.

Arsenal don’t necessarily need a first-choice right-back to join.

They can get an exciting prospect who can learn from the likes of White and Tomiyasu, and grow into the role.

Obviously if either of those two leaves in the summer, then Arsenal will have a more pressing need for a first-team ready.

Arsenal have received a boost in their pursuit of Evan Ndicka after Eintracht Frankfurt announced the signing of William Pacho.

What’s the story?

Well – according to a story from Calcio Mercato Web in January – Ndicka is expected to join Arsenal when his contract expires in July.

Now, that could have a semblance of truth about it as Eintracht Frankfurt announce the €9m (£8m) signing of Pacho from Royal Antwerp, while Ndicka is yet to commit himself to a new contract.

As detailed in Eintracht Frankfurt’s official announcement of the deal, the 21-year-old will join on July 1st 2023, which is the exact same date Ndicka’s contract is set to expire.

The pair both operate at centre-back. Therefore, it certainly seems as if Pacho is arriving to replace the 23-year-old at the Waldstadion.

Ndicka has made 35 appearances in all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt so far this season, helping the German outfit reach the Champions League Round of 16.

The Frenchman is one of the most exciting young defenders in Europe, so if Arsenal are about to land him on a free transfer, it would be superb business from Mikel Arteta and Edu.

Shaka Hislop thinks the criticism aimed at Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk over the course of the international break is ‘an attack on a very talented player’.

The former goalkeeper was making reference to Dutch legends Marco van Basten and Ruud Gullit and their scathing, no-holds-barred and blunt assessment of Virgil van Dijk.

The Netherlands were taken apart by France in their opening Euro 2024 qualifier last week and van Basten loaded his guns and made sure to fire them straight at the captain.

The legendary striker stated that van Dijk ‘makes noises’ but he ‘doesn’t say anything’ as he questioned the 31-year-old’s quality and leadership skills.

Once upon a time, many felt that the ice-cool centre-back was the best in the business, but these last 12 months tell a different story. 

Following those comments, including ones from Ruud Gullit which were touched upon by Shaka Hislop below, he came to the aid of the Liverpool man, as he told ESPN. 

“So many times we talk about the Dutch national teams and the quality that they have,” said Hislop. “And how they always seem to self-destruct. This really leans into that. 

“Even if everything van Basten and Gullit are saying about Virgil van Dijk is absolutely true, and you are trying to help the player, you are trying to help the national team, then there is a way of phrasing it. There are things you avoid. 

“Gullit saying ‘he won his (FIFA Team of the Year) award, didn’t he?!’ I mean, I have absolutely no idea what purpose that is to serve, other than, to frame this as an attack. 

“It’s an attack on a very talented player, who is having a rough time. He comes into a national team, given their successes at the World Cup. They have made the new manager change formation, he can’t find the same passing lanes into midfield and has a little issue adjusting early on.”

VAN DIJK IS STRUGGLING

One thing needs to be clear and that’s the fact that van Dijk can’t be immune to criticism, regardless of what he has done in the past.

If he is doing wrong, and he isn’t performing, then he needs to take that verbal bashing on the chin.

Van Dijk’s issue is that he isn’t really answering his critics on the field of play, but he has this last stretch of Premier League games to still showcase what he is about because Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have a lot to play for.

Levy could target 'unbelievable' 41-year-old to replace Paratici at Tottenham - journalist

Tottenham Hotspur are currently in a bit of a difficult situation, to say the least.

Spurs parted company with Antonio Conte last week in wake of his incendiary post-Southampton press conference.

Fabio Paratici was tasked to help Tottenham find Conte’s replacement in the Spurs dugout.

However, FIFA has now extended the Tottenham managing director’s ban to worldwide activities.

It remains to be seen what happens at Spurs with regards to the Italian’s position at the club.

Now, according to Dean Jones, Tottenham could potentially cast an eye towards Monaco director Paul Mitchell.

The 41-year-old has already worked with Spurs, helping the club sign players such as Dele Alli, Son Heung-min, Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld.

Mitchell has also worked with MK Dons, Southampton and RB Leipzig.

Scouting outlet Foot The Ball described his portfolio as “impressive, to say the least. Almost unbelievable.”

‘Thinking at a high level’

Jones, writing on GiveMeSport, claimed it’s ‘early days’ in terms of interest in Mitchell from Spurs.

He also spoke of the possibility of Mauricio Pochettino – who worked alongside Mitchell at N17 – returning.

“Poch maintains a healthy relationship with Levy and is open to a return but there is a feeling recently that the Tottenham chairman is re-evaluating the positives to such a return,” wrote Jones.

“He’s gone slightly cold on the idea. In the months leading into Conte’s exit that was not so much the case, with sources stating that it would take Fabio Paratici to come up with a “fail-proof” option in order for Levy not to turn back to his former boss.

“It would be wrong to say Poch is totally out of mind though. If Paratici is to leave Tottenham for good then it could give Poch the scope to have a more over-arching control.

“There are whispers too though that 41-year-old Paul Mitchell, who recently announced he is leaving Monaco in his role as Sporting Director, may even come into the thinking at a high level.

“Nothing yet on that front though, these are early days.”

What’s the situation with Paratici?

In January, Paratici was handed a 30-month ban from carrying out activities within the Italian Football Federation.

This was as part of an investigation into alleged financial mismanagement at Juventus which saw 11 other officials banned and the club deducted 15 points.

Now, FIFA have extended Paratici’s ban to worldwide activities, which effectively leaves him unable to carry out external duties at Tottenham.

As per Sky Sports, Spurs put out a statement saying they were given “no advance notice” from world football’s governing body.

“We are urgently seeking further clarification from FIFA as to the details of the extension and its variance from the FIGC [the Italian FA] sanction,” the club statement read.

“We should like to make clear that when Fabio conducted the interview on club channels yesterday neither he nor the club had any indication of this decision being made by FIFA, based on the fact the FIGC sanction was taken on 20 January 2023 and remains subject to an appeal on 19 April 2023.”

Paratici has 10 days to appeal his worldwide ban to FIFA’s appeals committee.

Don Hutchison says West Ham United striker Gianluca Scamacca will be ‘back in Serie A’ in the summer after ‘flopping’ in the Premier League.

In the summer, the former midfielder lauded West Ham’s call to sign Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo, but he now admits that it has now gone very wrong.

But when Hutchison was trying to tell fellow pundit and Anfield legend Stevie Nicol that ‘everybody’ wanted the 24-year-old, he wasn’t having any of it. 

It was even suggested that Kylian Mbappe of all people tried to get him at PSG, but he had ‘shook hands with David Moyes’ – it was also claimed last summer that Arsenal, along with PSG, were keen on the Italian.

Either way, after just three Premier League goals, West Ham fans will be hoping he did make that move to PSG instead, with Hutchison sharing his thoughts, as he told ESPN. 

“Everything I said was actually true and that’s why I picked him as being a flop,” said Hutchison. “He was so outstanding in Italy. Everyone wanted him. 

“He was going to sign for PSG. Kylian Mbappe wanted him through the door, but he shook hands with David Moyes and look at this return. 

Nicol responded: “Hold on, rewind. Everybody wanted him but he decided to go to West Ham?! Who is everybody.”

Hutchison added: “Apparently, Kylian Mbappe wanted him at PSG. But he shook hands with David Moyes, Juve, Inter and Milan all fancied him. But they didn’t want to take the chance. 

“But, then he plays 16 games. Three goals. No assists. He will be back in Serie A in the summer. I love him, but he’s not produced.” 

WEST HAM’S STRIKER ISSUES

This has been an issue stemming for years and years. It seems to be in the Premier League DNA of the club that whatever striker lands on their doorstep, he struggles. 

Well, they have signed a more proven star in Danny Ings during the January transfer window.

He has already gotten off the mark and he will be hoping to fire the Hammers to safety, before finally trying to break the curse of being a consistent goalscoring striker over the course of a season for the club.

There really hasn’t been much in the way of good news at Tottenham Hotspur lately.

Spurs are out of every cup competition, are only just hanging on to fourth place, and don’t have a manager.

In addition, Antonio Conte left having dropped several brutal truth bombs about Tottenham.

“Tottenham’s story is this,” he said in his now-infamous post-Southampton press conference.

“Twenty years there is the owner and they never won something.”

And that’s not all. Earlier this week, FIFA extended Fabio Paratici’s ban to worldwide activities.

Meanwhile, exposés of what’s allegedly happening at Tottenham behind the scenes are doing the rounds.

On Wednesday, The Telegraph published an article about what insiders are apparently making of the situation.

Apparently, sources at Spurs rate the current situation as the ‘worst crisis’ Daniel Levy has faced during his time as chairman. 

One source at Tottenham reportedly claimed that staff morale ‘is at an all-time low’, while Levy has ‘isolated’ himself. 

“On top of all the problems that are obvious for everyone to see,” said the insider.

“Staff morale levels are at an all-time low and Levy has isolated himself. It’s a mess.”

Sticky situation

There’s no doubt this is a crisis, and Levy has a lot of work to do in order to rectify things.

Appointing a new manager can (or will) probably wait now, with an interim team now in charge.

The Paratici situation is the more pressing issue now due to FIFA’s worldwide ban.

His position is now untenable. He will either have to go or, at least, to step aside while an appeal is heard.

It also throws a spanner in the works in terms of finding a new manager, of which Paratici was in charge.

We’ll see what happens but there are certainly some choppy waters ahead.

It has been claimed that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton were concerned about appointing Eddie Howe as their manager due to his perceived lack of big personality.

The Newcastle United boss has earned the respect of most fans and pundits alike for steering them to 5^th place and a Carabao Cup final this season, whilst having led them to a 9^th place finish last campaign.

But it seems like Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton were perhaps uninterested in bringing in Eddie Howe due to their issues with his personality.

Strange to say the least

If Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton had footballing reasons to doubt whether Eddie Howe was the right fit to manage them, then fair enough.

But to judge Howe’s personality, based on mere interviews and public appearances and to deem that as enough of a factor not to hire him is ridiculously bizarre from all three clubs.

Well, Pagliari told Tutto Mercato Web: “I am of the opinion that he has made some personal reflections that all of us who have turned 50 do. I think he wants to coach in Italy and stay close to his family, because time passes for everyone.

For those of you who are unaware, saudade is another word for nostalgia and longing for the past.

Conte certainly seemed agitated at Tottenham, and it almost felt as if he wanted Levy to sack him.

Aside from the nostalgia of his success in Italian football, Conte may have also been in a reflective mood due to his personal losses this season.

The Italian lost his close friend Gian Piero Ventrone back in October, while he also said goodbye to another pal in Siniša Mihajlović last December.

Gianluca Vialli – another friend of Conte’s – then passed away in January, so you can certainly understand why he would be in a reflective mood, and wanted to be closer to his family.

Pope Francis was hospitalized on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, after experiencing difficulties with breathing, and many are under the assumption that he had a heart attack, because of a few reports on the Internet.

A few months ago, rumours that the 86-year-old spiritual leader had passed away surfaced, when the news regarding Pope Benedict XVI broke, leaving many to wrongly assume that the current Pope had died.

After learning about his hospitalization now, people are sending their prayers for Pope Francis‘ quick recovery. This is the first time an update about his health has been made public after he underwent surgery in July 2021 to get a part of his colon removed.

Here’s the latest on what actually happened to the Pope.

Pope Francis didn’t suffer a heart attack

Several Twitter users have shared a picture of what looks like a new report with a headline that reads: “Pope Francis was admitted to a hospital in Rome after suffering from a heart attack.”

However, the statement by the Vatican Press office cites a different health issue as opposed to what the rumors claim.

The statement read: “In recent days, Pope Francis complained of some respiratory difficulties and this afternoon, he went to [Policlinico A.] the Gemelli [hospital] for some medical checks.

“The outcome of these showed a respiratory infection (excluding COVID-19 infection) that will require several days of appropriate hospital medical treatment.”

The extent of the infection hasn’t been disclosed and it isn’t clear how long he might take to recover.

Spiritual leader is being treated for respiratory issues

The doctors reportedly ran a CT scan on the Pope’s chest and his blood saturation levels are said to be normal.

Al Jazeera notes, the Italian News agency ANSA reported that no issues with Pope Francis’ heart were detected, and he is only being treated for respiratory infection.

Meanwhile, medical sources confirmed that the situation involving the spiritual leader’s health isn’t concerning.

The Pope’s schedule for the next two days has been canceled, but there isn’t any other information regarding when he’ll be discharged from the hospital.

Twitter is filled with prayers and wishes

Many, who are under the wrong impression that there are issues with Pope’s heart, have taken to Twitter to send him their prayers.

One Tweeted: “Pope Francis has been hospitalized. Some are saying pulmonary disease, others saying a heart attack. Regardless of what is the reason, please pray for the Holy Father’s recovery.”

“We are praying for Pope Francis to recover and anyone facing illness,” wrote another.

Rumor alleging Miley’s pregnancy was started by a fan page on Twitter on Wednesday, March 29. The tweet posted by the account features pictures of Miley and Maxx with a caption claiming to be “Breaking News”.

It reads: “According to Brandi, Miley Cyrus is officially pregnant and expecting her first child with Maxx.”

However, the tweet doesn’t reveal the identity of Brandi, who is supposedly aware of Miley’s alleged pregnancy.

“Cyrus would have already made her pregnancy explicit in an excerpt of her new single “River”, and this is the reason [for] her disappearance,” it further claims.

But, neither Miley nor Maxx have addressed these rumors, let alone confirm them. Furthermore, there isn’t any official statement from either of their reps or verified news outlets to even believe the above rumor.

The Party in the USA singer and her 24-year-old rocker boyfriend have reportedly been dating since the end of 2021.

River’s lyrics don’t confirm singer is carrying a baby in 2023

The fan account has used the lyrics of River, which was released on March 13, to justify its claims about Miley being pregnant.

However, the lyrics don’t in any which way imply the same. They go as below:

“Blowing bubbles in the bath, I can’t stop from thinking lately
You could be the one, have the honor of my babies
Hope they have your eyes and that crooked smile
Was a desert ‘fore I met you, I was in a drought”

The singer talks about sharing kids with her romantic partner, who “could be the one”, while imagining the features of the hypothetical baby.

Therefore, there is no truth to any of the rumors about Miley and Maxx.

Fans aren’t able to process the wild claim

The viral tweet, with over 800,000 views, has turned fans restless as they are desperate to hear from Miley herself, although the chances of her paying heed to such ridiculous speculations are highly unlikely.

“Miley Cyrus is pregnant? I need to see her on tour once again before she retires, please! Stream River,” wrote one fan.

Another wrote: “Miley Cyrus is pregnant??? My brain can’t process..”

'Spurs have a chance': Alasdair Gold says Tottenham could make truly 'fascinating' appointment

Tottenham Hotspur are currently on the lookout for a new manager after parting company with Antonio Conte.

The Italian left Spurs by mutual consent last week, in wake of his spectacular post-Southampton press conference.

Plenty of coaches have been linked with the Tottenham reins, including Mauricio Pochettino.

Lately, Julian Nagelsmann’s name has been doing the rounds with regards to the vacant Spurs post.

And with good reason, too.

Nagelsmann is an outstanding young manager whose Bayern Munich departure has raised many an eyebrow.

That said, Alasdair Gold has reported that the 35-year-old hasn’t actually been sacked, but appears to be on gardening leave.

On Tuesday, the esteemed journalist held a Q&A on football.london, and unsurprisingly, questions about the manager cropped up often.

‘Kindred spirit’

One fan asked Gold whether Nagelsmann is actually open to joining Spurs, and whether the club has a chance of getting him on a pre-contract.

The football.london reporter provided an in-depth answer, saying Tottenham certainly have a chance of landing the “fascinating” manager.

Even better, Gold spoke of how Nagelsmann is a huge fan of Mauricio Pochettino, saying he saw a “kindred spirit” in the Argentine.

“Nagelsmann is a believer in attacking from the front with a high pressing style,” he said.

“And that idea was shared by Pochettino as he transformed Tottenham into a consistent top four side and took them to the Champions League final.

“Nagelsmann saw a kindred spirit in the Argentine and kept a keen eye on how Spurs got on.”

Gold did, however, stress that the 35-year-old may need some time to recover from the shock of the Bayern decision.

“I also think he needs time to mentally recover after what happened at Bayern,” he continued.

“And there will be plenty of competition for his signature, which is why Bayern did not sack him.

“Instead placing him on gardening leave because they knew they would not need to pay compensation with the interest in him.

“Spurs are playing down any mention of them having a top target right now or contacting anyone.

“Presumably so there’s not a big scene if anybody declines to speak to them or join them after the mess of 2021.”

‘A fascinating appointment’

Gold continued: “I think Spurs have a chance with Nagelsmann. Both parties would fit each other really well.

“However, it’s very much down to making themselves the most attractive option if they decide that he’s the man.

“Nagelsmann will now jump straight on and high up their list of candidates again.

“As for a pre-contract, if Spurs decide he’s the one then doing that would get it all sorted very early.

“But the club seem to like to make us all wait and the German may want to wait to see what his options are anyway.

“I think he would be a fascinating appointment if they went for him.”

The best candidate for Spurs – our view

Out of all the candidates, Nagelsmann is arguably the best for Tottenham at this moment in time.

He’s a young, talented and smart manager who likes a project and looks like he’d like to grow alongside a club.

That was very much the case when Spurs snapped Mauricio Pochettino up from Southampton back in 2014.

At the time, he was a promising manager doing well in his first Premier League job at a modest club.

Meanwhile, Nagelsmann is a promising manager who was doing well with Bayern, who in turn have jettisoned him.

Let’s see how things progress, but Spurs should really go all out to bring him to N17.

While there is not much that has been explained about this very sentiment, the entrepreneur’s actual attitude has been pointed to as a reason that may be putting Amorim off.

Another influencing factor is that Ruben Amorim is unwilling to leave Sporting CP in the middle of the season to become the next manager of any club, including Tottenham.

The same goes for next campaign as the Portuguese coach, described as ‘one of the best’ by Pep Guardiola via the Evening Standard aims to win a league title at Sporting before his contract expires in 2026.

While club president Frederico Varandas is aware that the managerial wonderkid will eventually leave to manage in a more high-profile league, the current £26.4 million release clause in his deal is considered as a factor that protects him by Sporting themselves.

If Daniel Levy truly wants Ruben Amorim to become the next Tottenham manager, he must try to persuade him to join by pitching his plans to revolutionise the club under his presence.

TikTok users fear the latest glitch implies a ban on the app is imminent

TikTok users are being met with an error message that reads ‘no internet connection’ while trying to access the app, so we have explained the possible reason and potential fixes.

The app is used by millions across the globe and its users in the US are hoping that Congress won’t impose a ban on it after the company’s CEO, Shou Zi Chew, was questioned about the Chinese government allegedly using the data of Americans collected by the application.

A number of Change.org petitions to save TikTok are receiving support in large with thousands of signatures.

As if growing fear about not being able to make TikToks wasn’t enough, users are now frustrated and worried about receiving the ‘no internet connection’ error.

Why does TikTok say ‘no internet connection’?

The error message which reads, “no internet connection”, usually shows up on TikTok when your device has an uncleared cache.

On deleting the accumulated cache, the app will be cleared of any faulty files, which can cause disruption in the connectivity between the device and the Internet.

The error message can be the result of a glitch on the app’s end, which may take some time to be rectified once the bug is identified.

The TikTok team hasn’t addressed the error at the time of writing this article.

Users fear glitch implies a ban on the app is imminent

Because the above message is concerning connectivity, social media users with good Internet want to know what is causing the issue with TikTok. Meanwhile, others are worried that a ban in the US is imminent and that the recent glitch is a sign.

One tweeted: “My reaction after seeing TikTok’s ‘No Internet Connection’ is the U.S going forward with the ban.”

“I rebooted my WiFi only to find out it’s TikTok and not me …anyone else has no internet connection?” said another.

A third person said: “My face right now thinking TikTok’s “no internet connection” is the U.S doing what it wanted to do with it.”

Another asked: “All TikTok videos from people’s profile have been deleted and it shows no internet connection. Go check out people’s profiles. Is a major glitch going on or end of TikTok?”

5 possible fixes

Here are five fixes you could try to get rid of the ‘no internet connection’ error.

• Make sure you have deleted all the cache files as TikTok actively stores data for faster loading of the app. The stored cache can corrupt over time, thus resulting in errors.
• Uninstall the app on your device and re-install it.
• Check if your WiFi has connectivity issues by connecting it to other apps. You will be able to tell if the problem is only with TikTok.
• A straightforward restart of your device can also sometimes fix the ‘no internet connection’ error.
• Ensure your app is updated to its latest version.

Michael Dawson says he is ‘not too sure’ Daniel Levy will appoint Cristian Stellini as Tottenham Hotspur’s full-time manager in the summer.

It took a while, but Antonio Conte’s sacking was confirmed on Sunday evening following his Tottenham outburst after the 3-3 draw at Southampton. 

Many were expecting Ryan Mason to take charge, just like he did when Jose Mourinho was booted out, but Levy opted to hand the keys to Cristian Stellini until the end of the season – he last managed in 2017 for US Alessandria Calcio 1912 (Transfrmarkt).

The 48-year-old’s task is simple, yet it will come with its difficulties, and that’s trying to secure Champions League football again for next season.

What if Stellini does push Spurs over the line? Should his name be added to the list of the next Tottenham manager?

Whilst former Spurs defender Michael Dawson can understand Stellini’s name getting a mention, he just can’t see Levy going down that road, as he told Sky Sports. 

“I am not too sure about that, to be honest,” said Dawson. “This is maybe an interview for him, not just for Spurs, but for everyone. He has managed before. 

“If he goes and does that (helps Spurs to fourth), the club will maybe look at that, but I am not too sure they will. 

“But if he goes and wins ten out of ten, which is certainly a tough ask, gets them into the Champions League and then maybe that’s something they will look at. 

“We saw when you are in charge of interim, then you are in a job interview. If it goes well, then why would you look elsewhere? But, at this moment in time, I am not too sure.” 

BIG PRESSURE ON SPURS

Tottenham’s first game will be a trip to Merseyside and a clash against relegation-threatened Everton, who have beaten the likes of Arsenal on home soil since Sean Dyche’s appointment, including their 2-2 draw at Chelsea before the international break.

This is going to be a serious test for these Spurs players because, with any slip-up, then the drama and noise around the club will only go through the roof.

Whether Conte was speaking the truth or not, one thing he has done is add even more pressure on the team because their task to secure fourth isn’t going to be easy with Liverpool, Newcastle and Brighton all hunting them down.
