Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has said that he has told AS Roma star Paulo Dybala to join him at Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea are interested in signing Paulo Dybala from AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur are also claimed to be keen on the former Juventus star, who has a release clause of €12 million (£10 million) in his contract for foreign clubs.
Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has done little to dampen the growing rumours about Dybala and a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
The former Benfica midfielder, who has made a decent impact since joining the Blues back in January, has said he is trying to convince the 29-year-old forward that a move to West London would be the best thing for his career.
Paulo Dybala urged to join Chelsea
Speaking to Argentine news outlet Ole, Fernandez said that he is trying to convince his Argentina international teammate to make the switch to Chelsea this summer.
The midfielder said about Dybala: “Yes, I saw something about that. We’ll see. I hope he comes.
“I talked to him and told him that I’m waiting for him to share a barbecue or something. I need someone to share the mates.”
Fernandez becomes the second player to have spoken out about the potential signing of Dybala, with Brazilian defender Thiago Silva also stating his desire for the Argentine forward to sign for Chelsea.
“I saw Paulo Dybala here, they [the media] talk about him coming to Chelsea,’ Silva told Sky Sport Italia. “I’ve talked with him and asked him if he is coming. He is a world-class player.”
Dybala could be a smart addition for Chelsea who are having to tow the line with financial fair play this summer having spent so heavily in the past two transfer windows.
